Fees
Mediation Rates for Superior Court Program Mediation
Hourly Rate: $250/hour for the first 2 hours, thereafter $425 per hour-- minimum of 2 hours.
Mediation Rates for Private Mediation, AAA Mediation, and other ADR Providers
Hourly Fee: $425 per hour-- minimum of 2 hours.
Fee shall split equally among the parties or per agreement. All parties must agree on fee splitting before the beginning of mediation. No case administrative fees are charged unless there are more than four parties involved in the mediation in which case administrative fees will be charged at the rate of $75 per hour for scheduling, correspondence, and similar matters.
The fee for mediation services and arbitration include but are not limited to the review of submitted materials, research (when clearly necessary) and deliberation time. Invoices are due and payable upon receipt.
Mr. Turner reserves the right to withhold service of any rulings or arbitration awards or commence arbitration hearings or mediation hearings until all fees have been received from all parties. The agreement to render services is with the attorney or representative of the parties and payment is and remains the responsibility of the attorney or firm until received in full.
The imposition of a cancellation or continuance fee is within the discretion of Mr. Turner. If a matter scheduled for less than 8 hours is canceled or continued three days or less from the day of scheduled hearing, a cancellation fee of up to two hours may be charged. If a full day or more case is continued or canceled ten days or less from the hearing date, Mr. Turner reserves the right to impose a cancellation fee equal to eight hours. However, to the extent that the vacated time is utilized for other purposes, no cancellation fee will be charged. No charge will be made for up to to two continuances of any scheduled hearing. However, any additional continuances maybe subject to a continuance fee of $100.
